The Dot Girl's First Period Kit *Review, and Giveaway*

    Do you remember when you got your first period?  Well I sure do, and since my mom had never talked to me about it, it was scary, and embarrassing!  I had to have some friends (who already had theirs), help explain things.  And since they were around my age, they didn't really know much either.  I don't want Audrey going through that, I want to help explain thing to her, before it happens, she she know what to expect.  That's why I was so excited to get to do a review, and giveaway of The Dot Girl's First Period Kit.

    The kit contains, a heating pad (which is very cool, seriously, it's the coolest heating pad I've ever seen!), a first period guide, a period calendar, scensibles (little bag, lots of confidence), a free Kotex coupon, a Kotex guide, hand wipes, Kotex lightdays liners, and Kotex ultra thin pad.  All of that in a cute little case.  This kit was created to help moms talk to their daughters about what to expect, and for girls to be able to ask them questions, and be ready when it does happen!  Here is a little bit about why they created the website, and kit:
    Our motivation to create The Dot Girl's First Period Kit® grew from our own awkward teenage experiences. Despite the fact that our mother was a wonderful nurturer to four daughters, she was never comfortable talking to us about our bodies. We found that this is more often the rule than the exception for both moms and dads. And the reality today is that parents often find themselves in the awkward position of having avoided the subject at all costs, to the detriment of their daughters.
    Our goal for the kit is to provide parents with the information and supplies you need to explain the basics of menstruation to your daughters. And for the girls, we hope that having the kit will lessen their anxiety about their first period and instead turn it into a positive experience.
