Backseat Saints by: Joshilyn Jackson (audio book) *Review and Giveaway*

    This is an absolutely great read!  The total playing time is about 13 hours, and there are 11 CDs, but I couldn't stop listening to this book!  Not only does the story, and character's draw you in, but Joshilyn Jackson's voice as she reads it ties everything together.  The story of this women, and her life is mesmerizing!  I admire her for her strength as she tries to get away from her awful husband.  As she also runs to find answers to her past.
    How far would you run to find redemption?  Ro Grandee is the perfect Texas housewife.  She's determined to be nothing like her long-missing mother ---the one who left her with only a heap of old novels and her father's fists for company--- so Ro keeps quiet and takes her husband's punches like a lady.  But Ro wasn't always this way.  Underneath her pastel skirts and hidden bruises lies Rose Mae Lolley, teenage spitfire, Alabama heartbreaker, and a crack shot with a pistol.  Rose Mae is resurrected when a gypsy's tarot cards foretell doom for dutiful Ro: Her handsome husband is going to kill her.  Unless she kills him first.

    Taking a minor character from her bestselling gods in Alabama, Jackson has crafted a "riveting read that simply flies off the page with prose as luscious as Texas chili" (Library Journal).  BACKSEAT SAINTS will dazzle listeners with a fresh and heart-wrenching portrayal of the lengths a mother will go to right the wrongs she's created, and how far a daughter will run to escape the demands of forgiveness.
    Overall this was a great book with a great story!  This book has a little of everything, and draws you in!  Although I wouldn't recommend listening to it with your kids or husband around (because it does have language, and a few sex scenes).  I would recommend this book to any woman, that loves a good story!  Especially one with a great and unexpected ending!  This would be a great book to listen to while relaxing in the bath, or alone in the car, or house!  And now for the fun part!  The giveaway details are below.  Have fun, and good luck! :)
